How I changed my fate in just 54 days before Re-NEET?

I hail from a small town of Rajasthan where opportunities and resources are available only upto a limited extent.

During my school days, I was just an average student academically.

Then came the 10th board and I got 75% marks. I know 10th Board mark sheet is used just for age verification.

But that was the high time and prime year to choose stream and career. I chose Biology but everyone was making fun of my decision of opting Biology with just 75% marks in 10th.

They thought me a naive. It was a general belief that after scoring such low marks in 10th, you will not be able to survive with Biology as a career as it was considered to be very difficult.

But this time, my parents gave me the greatest gift they could ever give.

Trust!

They believed in me when everyone has a doubt on my capabilities.

Admission in a good school for further studies was a tough task. Somehow I managed to crack the entrance examination of that school.

Months passed and stress level was increasing gradually. By that time, majority of my friends had joined coaching classes for NEET UG.

But I was finding it difficult to decide what to do next. The decisive power has come down to nil. Finally after a lot of discussion with parents, I joined a coaching institute.

The name and fame of my coaching were not that high.

But yes,

Teachers were really caring and dedicated.
Years passed. I got along with my 11th & 12th std. I continued my school and coaching together with a hectic schedule.

But then, another nightmare arrived. 12th board! This time board results were of a great value as minimum 60% were needed.

After about 26 days, I attempted NEET UG for the first time and failed to score for a Government medical college. But luckily, that year NEET was organised twice and I got another 54 days for the attempt.

This time I was at an advantage. I already had an experience of one attempt in NEET. Expected cutoff marks and ranks were flashing in my eyes and that provoked me to push more.

Schedule was set. Books were on the table and 17-18 hours of study a day was the goal. All because of such determined preparation, I was actually chilled and was able to feel the sense of confidence in me on the day of examination.

It was finally result day and I got an expected rank. After counselling, a government college was allotted and everything became butter and smooth later on.

BOTTOM LINE :

I am totally sure that many of you have a life that resembles to the first part my story.
I was a pretty average student in academics during my school days who had reach to limited resources. I didn’t also prepare in a famous Coaching institute.

All I had was my families trust and the determination during the days of Re-NEET.

If a guy like me can crack this exam with flying colours, then you have that potential too.

Hardwork can beat the intelligence but intelligence can’t beat the hardwork.

That’s it from my side! Best way to solve problems is to face them. Even if you failed to score don’t hesitate to restart ?

  1. That’s amazing journey…. but you forgot to mention about classes that you gave to board students in your Hometown free of cost.
